HELP & FREQUENT QUESTIONS
A few things worth knowing.
The strongest record makes its sources and limits clear.
Does registration prove authenticity?
No. It documents a submission and its evidence. Read the issuer, role, scope, authority, and limitations of any separate certificate.
Can a record be corrected?
Yes. The current owner can add photos, documents and new history after registration. Corrections append a new event and preserve the earlier entry. Each saved update has a new version; the item keeps its Registry ID and QR code. Private fields and sharing choices can also be changed.
What if the physical evidence is lost?
The preserved digital copy can remain in the object’s record, along with its upload timestamp and hash. A digital copy does not automatically prove the original document was valid.
Can I register an already-sold work?
Yes. Report the historical sale date, identify its source, then invite the buyer to accept ownership now. Both dates remain distinct.
What if I find an existing record?
Use “I own or know this item” to submit evidence. Duplicate suggestions never merge records automatically.
Why is my email in a local outbox?
This development preview does not send real email or SMS. Signed-in fictional accounts can inspect their own queued messages. Production requires a configured and tested delivery service.
