ATTRIBUTION BEFORE ASSURANCE
Know who stands behind a claim.
There is no single universal “verified” badge. Different labels describe different sources, scopes, and strengths of evidence.
Owner-reported
A statement submitted by an owner or possessor; not independently checked.
Creator-certified
A named creator account attests to a defined scope. Review the issuer, authority, and evidence.
Estate/representative-certified
An estate or representative attests with documented authority.
Dealer-verified
A reviewed business account attests only to the scope stated on its certificate.
Expert-authenticated
An identified expert attests within their credentials and report scope.
Document-supported
Supporting documents are attached; their truth is not guaranteed.
Blockchain-anchored
A public-chain fingerprint provides tamper evidence, not authenticity.
Disputed
A material assertion is contested; review the recorded dispute.
Superseded/corrected
A later entry corrects an earlier entry; both remain preserved.
A single item may carry multiple labels about different facts. Always inspect the supporting statement, issuer, date, evidence, and limitations.
